View MoreI was looking at some of the items' prices in the DMG- specifically the +1 and +2 shield. Per the FG DMG. A +1 shield (Uncommon) is listed at 112gp and a +2 shield (Rare) is listed as 838gp. If my memory is correct, in the PHB or DMG it says that rare items have a minimum of 5000gp in value. Another issue is the Adamantine Plate Armor. It is listed as 807gp, and it is considered uncommon.

As per craft rules, raw materials cost 1/3 of the final price. So the raw adamantine required for a full plate costs 5000GP. Which comes down to 100GP per pound.

DMG page 135 sets up price ranges for categories of items: Uncommon items would be priced in the 101-500 gp range. This means that they are magic items, with all the attendant properties. I don't think there's any listing for adamantine weapons anywhere in the handbooks.
